Lisa has made it her mission to share her sister and niece's story in hopes of inspiring others and saving lives.
Lisa has been awarded the Governor's Council on Domestic Abuse Justice Award in 2010, this award is given from the Governor of Wisconsin for outstanding achievement in Domestic Abuse issues.
Lisa was awarded the Phoenix Award in 2011, this award is given by Domestic Abuse Intervention Services, for showing immense strength and courage in rising from the ashes of Domestic Abuse and for being an advocate for other survivors.
Lisa was also awarded the Fraternal Order Of Eagles Home and Family Award in 2014, for leadership in strengthening the ideals of home and family in our community.
Heather has been a loud voice in legal rights for victims and holding repeat violent offenders accountable. Heather's criminal justice education background has helped her successfully write and have signed into law, two felony laws in Wisconsin, which has changed how offenders are prosecuted and held accountable.
Heather's knowledge in the court room and with our justice system has been a driving force for our victims. She holds offenders accountable along with agencies in our justice system.
Heather was awarded the Best Badge Award by Outagamie Co, WI District Attorney's office in 2012, for outstanding work as a voice for victims of domestic violence, creating The TraJa Act.
Lisa and Heather have been a driving force for victims of domestic violence for years. Together they bring both different strengths to the table and a force to be reckoned with.
